Hi!
I’m Tuukka, a photographer based in Helsinki, Finland.
I was born and raised in Helsinki but my family comes from up north in Finland, Kuusamo.
What originally started out as a passionate hobby in 2009, later evolved into full time work. It is still the best thing I know in life - to walk around with a camera in hand and learn about the world around me.
I’m interested in learning about different people, connecting with one another, social issues, structural change, global equality and creating bridges with empathy and understanding. I believe we all have a part to play in reshaping the future and as such we need to use whatever ways we have to make a difference.
I shoot a mix of digital and film depending on what I want or what is needed - in whatever format. I develop, scan and print all of my own films and greatly enjoy the process.
I enjoy being outdoors and in the nature - in whatever form.
