What do you get when you mix a rangefinder camera, some careful black and white processing, the highlands of Scotland and exceptionally good weather? Well, you tell me. I'm not a landscape photographer by any means but I could not pass these views by.

I saw this band by accident just before christmas, last year. I was immediately completely blown away by them. I've really never heard, or seen, a band like them. Their music is like listening to a band of drifter jazz musicians at a speakeasy in the forties, or something similar. When I saw them live, I knew I wanted to make some photos of them. Well, last night I had the chance to do so - they had a show at a local bar in Hakaniemi. I made a few frames, introduced myself and chilled with the band a little. I am quite hopeful that I will get to do something a bit more planned with the guys in the future. Awesome.

After a few days of "server down" -time, I am back online! Apparently my bandwidth limit got reached and that automatically shut me down. While it's of course a bad thing, it does mean that there are people who are looking at my pictures. Which is a good thing. However, I have now upgraded my server to the point where it should be able to take on the extra traffic, too. No need to take time outs in the future, I hope.

2.4.2012 / Ami & Dan

Wedding season - it's on. Ami and Dan got married and I salute them. Their guests, while not seasoned cigar smokers perhaps (pun intended - in a good way), were awesomely funny and I enjoyed myself to the fullest. It was a really fun day to photograph. Once more, congratulations to Ami and Dan!
