After the civil war, the people of Nepal have had to wait for their constitution for nine long years. Today it came. It marks a historic era here in Nepal as it's the first constitution done through a democratic process. The people were mostly celebrating it as it marks a new era the country's history. It's not without its problems, however, as some of the ethnic groups in the south feel that it does not provide them with the recognition they deserve. That said, it is a big thing for Nepal.
Pictured below is the Durbar Square of Patan where people gathered to light candles and celebrate the constitution.
